Book Review (Series 5)
“The best thing about reading is to escape from your life, to be able to live hundreds or even thousands of different lives.” – After We Collided by Anna Todd
This past month I read so many amazing books and a few really stood out. Lately, I have been finding many books that are available for free on the Kindle, so if you have one and you like romance novels, search “free romance kindle books” on Amazon. The only thing you’ll regret is finding a world of new books that you’ll have to find time to read.

Royally Screwed by Emma Chase is the first in the four book series.
Nicholas Pembrook has been crowned the Prince of Wessco and has been given limited time before he must marry and take hold of his responsibilities. While Nicholas is in Manhattan he walks into a diner that is family owned. Olivia is cleaning from the day when Nicholas and another gentleman walk in together. Quickly, Olivia is subjected to Nicholas’ crude mouth and takes offense. She has no idea that he is the Prince of Wessco.
Nicholas can’t seem to leave Olivia alone and loves how she is naive to who he really is. His persistence pays off and soon Olivia finds herself in his bed. Although they clearly have a connection, the truths Nicholas tries to hide surface and his responsibilities demand his attention. What will come from their relationship when Nicholas is obligated to marry someone with royal blood? Will he choose love or royalty?
I highly recommend this book to all romance lovers, especially those who seek an extra level of excitement. Emma Chase does an amazing job bringing these characters to life and scenarios that are relatable (despite being based on royalty).

The Mister by E.L. James is a hot and steamy story that resembles a Cinderella Tale.
Maxim Trevelyan recently lost his brother and inherited his new title as well as the many responsibilities that come with it. Maxim is powerful, good-looking, and extremely wealthy. He has an endless supply of women but when he meets Alessia Demachi, a protective instinct overpowers. Maxim never spent time with his staff but Alessia puzzles him and he’s made it his job to find out what she’s hiding. When the dark truth of Alessia’s life surfaces and sketchy men come looking for her, Maxim takes control. Bringing Alessia to one of his multiple estates, he tries to protect her, but he ultimately falls in love. As they fight against her horrific past that seems to continuously resurface, will their connection be strong enough?
I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it. If you loved Fifty Shades then you definitely love the newest book by E.L. James.

Don’t Let Go by Michelle Lynn is the story of Sadie Miller and Brady Carson. Sadie Miller just transferred to a new university for her senior year. Trying to run away from her past mistakes, she seeks a fresh start. Sadie’s plan is to get through her senior year with no distractions but then she meets Brady Carson. The lead singer of the local band The Invisibles. Brady tries to break down the walls Sadie so tightly built around herself, believing that she is the one for him. As Sadie’s walls come down, she finally is able to put her trust into someone else, but then two students from her own school come to a party and her past mistakes are out for all to hear.
Brady too has his own secrets that threaten to break him and his relationship. He continues to fight against his shame and embarrassment of who his father is and tries to cover it from Sadie. Eventually, the truth comes out and it either has the power to bring them closer or completely destroy them.
I highly recommend this book because it leaves you wanting more and trying to decipher the truths from the lies. You will fall in love with the characters and find yourself completely invested in this story.

I can’t wait to review The Keatyn Chronicles by Jillian Dodd next. This twelve book series (plus 1 from another’s POV) is riveting, suspenseful, and deep. Jillian Dodd brings these characters to life and by book twelve you’ll be invested mentally and emotionally. You can currently receive book one and two free on Kindle.
Currently, I am reading the Crossfire Novels by Sylvia Day and I’m hooked. If you’re looking for a new Alpha male to obsess over check out these novels.
