Book Reveiw (Series Two)

Today, I’ll be discussing my all time favorite series by Jodi Ellen Malpas. This Man series is the first series by Jodi Ellen Malpas and it is my absolute favorite. I have reread this series multiple times and this story never gets old.

This Man is the first of four in the This Man series.

Ava O’Shea is an interior designer for Rococo Union for about four years when she gets a call about a client in the countryside. As Ava makes her way to a posh building that looks like an extravagant hotel she wonders why this client sought her out personally. Ava arrives at The Manor and quickly meet the owner. The moment she lays eyes on Jesse Ward her heart stops. Jesse Ward is gorgeously handsome and Ava can see that this man is intense. During her orientation to learn what needs to be done she finds herself unable to focus on anything but Jesse. After the meeting, she knows that she is not the right person for this job because of the way she has become infatuated with Jesse so quickly, but Jesse has other plans. Throughout this first novel, Jesse continues to pursue her and Ava isn’t able to keep her guard up for long. As they become more obsessed with one another, unimaginable secrets about Jesse and his “hotel” surface and Ava don’t know how to handle them. Is Jesse’s hotel really a hotel? Will his secrets drive Ava away for good?

In Beneath This Man Jesse tries his hardest to get Ava back after all his secrets sent her running. Jesse succeeds but their problems don’t end there. Throughout the beginning of their relationship more and more secrets and problems arise leaving both making awful decisions. Ava becomes someone she doesn’t recognize as she tries to save Jesse from his demons. As their relationship continues Ava pick up on hints that Jesse is hiding stuff from her, but she would never guess how serious his hidden secrets are. Then one day she goes to The Manor and catches Jesse participating in something that makes her stomach twist and she decides to do something that will show him how painful seeing that is. What does Ava catch Jesse doing? Will it break them for good?

In This Man Confessed readers see the relationship between Ava and Jesse magnify. Jesse Ward and Ava O’Shea are married and expecting, but as the secrets of how Ava surfaces and Ava’s secret of hiding her pregnancy from Jesse, in the beginning, surface their marriage seems doomed. Readers know that Ava and Jesse continue to find their way back to one another, but is it different this time? As Ava and Jesse work on their marriage and the beginning of their family horrible past demons surface and crazy women try to trap Jesse.

With This Man is the beautiful ending to Ava and Jesse’s story. Ava and Jesse were able to get past all their struggles and create an amazing life together for over a decade. Jesse and Ava now enjoy their life with their twins Maddie and Jacob who are now around eleven. Their life together is perfect until a horrendous accident leaves them starting from the beginning. Find out how they re-start their lives together after it falls apart in a matter of minutes.

I highly recommend This Man series because it is exhilarating, powerful, suspenseful, and will leave you wanting to dive deeper into the world of Ava and Jesse. This series is one you’ll re-read hundreds of times and never get bored. The love between Ava and Jesse is unlike any other and will leave you wanting more.
