The Girl in the Love Song by Emma Scott
Wow! I loved reading The Girl in the Love Song and was utterly captivated from beginning to end. Miller Stratton has a childhood filled with difficulties. Poverty, lack of a father figure, and an absent mom is too much for any child. But, Miller is a survivor, and he has his music to help get through the hard times.
Violet McNamara had a perfect life. Her family was wealthy, and she had college figured out-or, so she thought. All of a sudden, her home life crumbled, and she didn’t know how to fix it.
One night when Violet’s parents are fighting, she sees a young boy sitting by her house. That boy was Miller. From that night, Violet and Miller become best friends, but as the years go by, both start to fight underlying feelings they have for one another. Their unconfirmed feelings cause a strain in their friendship. Senior year of high school, Miller catches a break and signs with a record label. At this point, Violet and Miller are no longer fighting their feelings and are finally together, but new struggles come when Miller goes on tour, and Violet leaves for college. The Girl in the Love Song is a passionate, heartwrenching love story that tests loyalty and commitment. Violet and Miller were able to overcome so much, and their connection remained strong even when it didn’t seem like it. Emma Scott does a fantastic job showcasing the friendship and bond between Miller and Violet and how they needed one another at an essential point in their lives. I highly recommend this book to any romance lover and believe it deserves a review of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
