Synopsis:
High school is always a difficult time in a teenager’s life, and no one knows that better than Kila. Being Ethan’s younger sister, Kila has always wanted to become an individual. Finally, she’s ready to make her mark in her group of friends and hopes to attract her crush’s attention. With her two best friends and the new knowledge that her parents are going away for a few days, Kila plans to woo the one guy who stole her heart.
Ethan, Angus, and Brixton had always played it safe when it came to their band, but news of the EmOpen lights a fire deep in their souls, and with a little convincing, the three boys decide to join. As the girls plan their parent-less adventures, the guys have their agenda. Brixton’s primary goal is to seek forgiveness from Kila and rekindle their friendship. Angus and Ethan are looking to have a good time as a group, but they are unaware of the growth they will endure.
Everything All At Once is a coming-of-age and high school story that will take you back to those awkward years when you only had to worry about if the guy you liked you back. But, this book is much more because it shows teenagers who grow and mature. This book shows characters who try to fix their wrongs and learn that a bad situation can still be okay.
Review
I loved this book and the hidden lessons seen throughout. The characters were so easy to love and relate to. Ivy Cayden does a beautiful job bringing detail into every scene, making you feel like you’re part of the story.
This book’s unique aspect is the focus on music, and the playlist explicitly created for this book is fantastic. The songs chosen fits their specific sections wonderfully. I love the use of music in the book and how it portrays emotion when words cannot.
Everything All At Once took me on a beautiful journey and drew me in from the first chapter. The ending left me wanting more, and I cannot wait to read book two. I cannot recommend this book enough and believe it is perfect for anyone who loves romances and coming-of-age stories.
