National Book Lovers Day
“Keep reading. It’s one of the most marvelous adventures that anyone can have.” – Lloyd Alexander
In honor of National Book Lovers Day, I am linking some of my favorite books that I have read over the past couple of months. I recently graduated college and studied English Literature, so reading is a huge part of my life. Having a good book to read is a must in my life and is my main coping mechanism when I’m stressed.
Books by Jodi Ellen Malpas
All books by Jodi Ellen Malpas are amazingly written and contain so many twist and turns (for mature audience-includes sexual content).
A This Man Novel
A This Man Novel is exhilarating with so many twist and turns. Jesse and Ava fell in love, but Jesse is keeping a huge secret that could destroy their future. Will they ever gain the life that they desire? Read this series to find out.
The Forbidden by Jodi Ellen Malpas heavily touches on controversial issues (be aware of this, because it may not be for everyone). Jack is in a failing/abusive marriage. His wife Stephanie has been unstable for a long time and manipulates her way into getting whatever she wants. She becomes abusive toward Jack and starts leaving marks. One night at a bar, Jack meets Annie and he feels an instant connection. As their connection grows, Jacks failing marriage spirals out of control.
The Protector by Jodi Ellen Malpas tests the strength of the family when the decisions of one can hinder the life of someone close. Cami is the daughter of a rich businessman, who has had his share of many threats. So when a threat comes in for the death of his daughter he hires the best bodyguard. What he didn’t expect was the relationship that would form between his daughter and Jake. As he tries to tear them apart, he ruins his relationship with Cami.
The Dirty Book Club by Lisi Harrison is about a club that originated with four friends who made a wild pact. When these four got older they each pick one girl each that would carry on the tradition. M.J. a young woman who put everything into her career leaves New York to move in with her boyfriend in California. It takes M.J. a while to adjust and then she is one of the chosen to join this book club. This club brings four unlikely women together and they learn to lean on one another during hardships that they face. The women go on this journey and learn life lessons from books that were picked from the original four women. By the end, each one of them must choose what is the best move for their life. Will they choose correctly?
