The Best Spooky Romance Reads
Spooky season is around the corner, and there are already some glorious spooky reads that you need to add to your TBR. If the spooky season is your all-time favorite, it is time to head to the bookstore and pick up some fantastic options. There is nothing better than curling up on the couch with a good book during a chilly day, so here are the best books for the perfect reading day.
Long Live the Pumpkin Queen by Shea Ernshaw
If you love The Nightmare Before Christmas, you must add Long Live the Pumpkin Queen to your list. This book continues Sally and Jack’s relationship and focuses on Sally’s doubt and fear of becoming the queen Halloween Town needs. However, when Sally finds a new door to a different realm, her future as the Pumpkin Queen and Halloween Town may be jeopardized.
Not only does this book have high ratings, but it is the perfect option for any Halloween lover. The Nightmare Before Christmas movie is a staple piece this season, making this book a must-read.
The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling
I read The Ex Hex last year and really enjoyed it!! This book was the perfect holiday romance. After Rhys Penhallow breaks Vivienne Jones’ heart, she casts a “fake” curse on him. Years go by, and Vivienne thinks nothing of the fake curse until Rhys returns to Graves Glen, and nasty stuff starts to happen. Reluctantly, Vivienne agrees to help Rhys’ and the two of them start to rekindle what they had so many years ago.
Payback’s a Witch by Lana Harper
I was able to grab this book during Target’s recent book sale and am so excited to start reading it in October. This book looks like it will be such a fun romance full of witchy moments and unexpectant love.
On another note, I hope to get my hands on the second book in this series, From Bad to Cursed, which looks fantastic.
Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so I believe this series needs a spot on this spooky list. This year, I have designated the month of September to read all seven Harry Potter books and focus on all the details given. So if you have read these books or wanted to read them for the first time, the spooky season is a perfect time.
Crave by Tracy Wolff
I love the Crave series by Tracy Wolff and believe it is a perfect read. This book is filled with vampires, werewolves, gargoyle, and dragons, perfect for a rainy October day. This entire series is so entertaining and has so much going on that you’ll be at the edge of your seat.
Tracy Wolff creates fantastic characters and plots that hook you in from the beginning. The amount of detail and all the storylines make this an incredible story.
