Top Summer Reads

Happy August!!

We are halfway through the summer, and I have been fortunate enough to be able to read some fantastic books. Although some didn’t meet my expectations, a few still live rent-free inside my head.

My Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

The first book I want to discuss is The Love Hypothesis because I enjoyed this book immensely. This book contained some of my favorite tropes and was written very well. I loved the banter and chemistry between Olive and Adam. The awkward and embarrassing moment between them and also the protectiveness Adam shows were perfect for the fake dating story. I got all the warm and fuzzy feelings from this story, which is ideal if you are looking for a light read.

Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas

I LOVED this book!! It is one of my favorite reads of the year so far. Crescent City is a well-written, detailed story with beautiful characters and a fantastic storyline. Unfortunately, Sarah J. Maas starts the tale with heartache, and no reader will be prepared.

I loved Bryce and Hunt and enjoyed their progression as a team.

Carnage Island by Lexi C. Foss

I have a thing for wolf shifter romances, and Carnage Island is currently on the top of my favorites list. This book was steamy and entertaining. It was well-written and kept me engaged from the very beginning. I loved the connection between the main characters and was so sad when it ended.

My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey

OMG, this book is perfection!! Taylor and Myles’ banter, connection, and steam are everything. This book was so hot, and there was such a good plot. This book also contains some of the best tropes; sunshine x grumpy, small-town setting, and age gap romance. My Killer Vacation is the perfect summer read and will make you want to book a beach vacation.

A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows by Holly Renee

I was lucky to receive an ARC of A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows, and I loved it! I have been on a vast fantasy kick these past few months, and this book was everything I desired. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and had me shocked during multiple scenarios. In addition, the plot of the story is exceptionally well executed and well written. The ending was shocking, and I didn’t see it coming, so I am so excited for the next book in this series.
